The inventor of the safety pin sold his patent for only $400!

The popsicle was invented by a 11-year old boy!
The popsicle was invented by a boy named Frank Epperson. Here is how he invented it: One winter evening in San Francisco, Frank left a glass containing fruit soda with a stirring stick on the porch of his house. That night was very cold, and when Frank came out of his house the next day, he found that his soda had frozen, and he also discovered he had created an ice lolly. In 1923 Frank started selling his invention, which he named Epsicle. In 1924 he applied for a patent. Later his children insisted that he name it Popsicle instead of Epsicle.
