Fax Machines of the 1840s

 

The 1st fax machine was invented in the 1840s!


A fax machine is used to send documents electronically between two fax machines, or between a fax machine and computer. Now that you know what a fax machine is let me tell you about how it was invented. In 1843 Alexander Bain invented the first fax machine.  He called it the ‘electric printing telegraph’. Today fax machines aren’t as much in use as they were in the 20th century.

 

In the 19th century in the U.S.A, criminals were punished by feeding them lobsters!


In the 1800s in the U.S.A it was considered a cruel punishment to feed criminals lobster! I would say that it was a privilege to be able to eat lobsters as they were very expensive, and I don’t think most people at that time could afford it!

 

In 1929 a living cat was turned into a telephone!



In 1929 researchers in Princeton University, U.S.A turned a living cat into a telephone! The experiment was conducted to prove a theory.
