Genghis Khan invented the 1st postal system!


Genghis Khan was a Mongolian conqueror whose empire stretched from Japan in the east to Europe in the west. However, did you know Genghis Khan invented the 1st postal system?! Genghis Khan had a huge empire which he needed to govern. So, he invented a postal system called the ‘Yam’. The ‘Yam’ had a series of post houses and waystations all across his empire. Soon, the ‘Yam’ became a military postal service.

The University of Oxford is a university located in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. However, did you know that the University of Oxford is older than the Aztec empire?! The University of Oxford was founded and started accepting students in 1096 A.D. While the Aztec empire was founded in 1325, with the founding of the capital Tenochtitlan!

During the 1700s, pineapples were very expensive in England as they had arrived only a century ago. Only rich people could afford to buy pineapples, and those who could afford them would carry them around with them to show-off their wealth.
