Before 1913 parents in the U.S.A could mail their kids through the postal service?!


Before the 20th century there weren’t any clear guidelines for what people could and couldn’t mail. So, a couple in Ohio took advantage of this and mailed their baby son to his grandmother! After this incident many people started mailing their children to relatives. This continued till 1914 when this was officially banned. Unfortunately, some people continued to do this until 1915.

 

‘Fox tossing’ was once a popular sport!


In the 17th and 18th century people played a sport called ‘fox tossing’. The game involved a couple or an individual tossing foxes as high as they could in the air!
